mint awaiting deployment buy e/nero

what nero is

nero is a coin on Solana that keeps its own reserve the way Monero keeps a wallet. The reserve is never at a fixed address. Every trade on the mint moves the balance into a fresh one time account and closes the old one, so the reserve has a different home after every event.

Every buy is recorded as a lot with a key image. A lot cannot be sold until ten more trades have landed on the mint, and once it is sold its key image is marked spent and can never be spent again.

The reserve grows by quoting. nero runs as a solver on NEAR Intents, competing with other solvers to fill orders, and the spread from won fills lands in the reserve. There are no creator fees. Nothing is taxed from holders to fund the reserve.

Large trades pay a size penalty. Anything above the running median of the last hundred trades is charged a penalty that grows with the square of the excess, and the penalty is burned.

The reserve is public but not predictable. Every hop is written as a record with its index, its account, the transaction that opened it and the transaction that closed it, so anyone can follow the full path from the first hop to the current one. What nobody can do is name the next address, because it is derived from a transaction that has not happened yet.

On every rotation the balance is carried through between one and four intermediate accounts before it lands in the next hop. The step count comes from the last byte of the settling signature, so it is not chosen by anyone. Each intermediate account exists inside a single transaction and is closed before that transaction ends.

Buys do not reach the reserve one at a time. A buy is written as a lot at once, but its sol waits in a stem account until four buys are queued. Then all four settle in one transaction, in an order derived from the hash of their signatures together. The reserve rotates once per settlement, not once per buy.

Every number on this site is read from the chain. The market cap strip reads Birdeye. Everything else reads the nero program accounts and decodes them. Every address and every transaction shown here is a link to an explorer.

nero also holds assets on chains it has no key for. A set of policies in the program names a chain, a derived address and a trigger. When the trigger is met on Solana, a relayer submits proof of that state and the controller requests a signature for the derived address through NEAR chain signatures. The address acts, and the firing transaction is recorded against the policy.

Nothing here runs on a clock. There are no epochs, no snapshots, no schedules. A lot unlocks after ten trades, a rotation fires on the fourth queued buy, a policy fires when its trigger crosses. If the market is quiet, nothing moves.

trades at or below the running median pay nothing; above it the penalty grows with the square of the excess and is burned.

lock and rotation

A lot created at trade index t unlocks at trade index t + ten. The count is trades, not time.

A sell carries the key image of the lot it spends. If the image is already in the spent set the sell fails.

A rotation happens only when the stem reaches four queued buys. No rotation is scheduled.

The next hop account depends on the settling transaction signature and is not known before it exists.

nero holds assets on chains it has no key for — NEAR chain signatures sign for the derived address only when the trigger is proven on Solana.
